The door to my garage is like that too, although it's the lock on the handle that's broken, so the door can never be properly closed. It's also weighted though, so it can never be ajar without a door stop or something blocking it from closing. One night I walked out into the kitchen to get something to drink, and since the refrigerator is right next to the door to the garage you face the door right as you turn and walk into the kitchen. So as I turned the corner and walked into the kitchen, right as I was about to put my hand on the refrigerator handle, the door swung open about halfway and then slammed closed, as if something had pulled it from the other side and let it close on it's own. It freaked me out for a second but I figured a strong gust of wind must have blown it open or something and shrugged it off. That's when I realized that none of the windows were open.
