I don't think it would be much of an issue, even if I were to somehow acquire it right now. I don't exactly have time to be sitting down with one game for longer than "a few hours" at a time, anyway. And I don't think I would be terribly addicted to a game involving a ton of shooting, but we shall see, I suppose.
Normally, I don't either, but this IS Mass Effect, after all

While there is a ton of shooting, it's by no means a mindless shooter like OMGHalo or COD 42 - Soljers wif Guns Again LOL or anything.

Speaking of ME2, I just beat Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord and the Kasumi mission. The latter was disappointing, the other two were pretty cool. Overlord's ending was actually pretty damn disturbing.

They seriously need to make these things a bit longer, though. I like my ME2 when it's not in super short, bite-sized bits.

But Soljers wif Guns Again LOL is my favorite JRPG%)))))))))

Yeah, I think I've decided to pick it up, and worst case scenario I'll have a bit of time to return it. I don't mind shooting when it's done well, but even when it occurs in a game that I enjoy, it begins to feel a bit tedious to me after a while.

Overlord and Shadow Broker are both great. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who hated Stolen Memory. I was all "uh...what was that all about?"
    And yeah, Overlord was twisted

Play an Adept then. AKA Jedi Knight without the lightsaber, Force Pushing people all over the place.

Although from what I hear it's a bit more difficult to play than other classes.

I like to do some shooting, then have my squad throw some Biotics out...you see dead people floating by, or shit exploding
I also just discovered the Singularity Gun...I'm not sure where it came from, or how I got it, but it's used by the Collectors, which I haven't actually encountered yet on this playthrough. All I know is it can gut a large Mech in 2 shots.

I've had the blue and silver, which are both the same flavor. I don't find the other flavors appealing enough to even try them.

The blue bottled regular is the best IMO. Cherry has a metallic aftertaste.

    Sounds fun.

As long as I don't get incredibly used to using an easy build first and then going for a harder class, I probably won't mind too much.

It's official, I'm calling out tomorrow.

Now to decide if I want to wake up early to make the call, or just stay up until 5:00.

Soldier is probably the easiest. It has access to all the weapons and has a slow-mo/bullet time ability. I personally loved playing as an Engineer, though. You can summon a cute combat drone and set people on fire! Or freeze them and watch as they fall over helplessly. What's not to like?

Yeah, you should be fine. It only gets really tough on higher difficulties.
