Okie.
I'm just poking fun, I honestly don't care what you do with your life. I just know that plans like that time line that you laid out almost never work, and if you really want a kid than there is nothing stopping you (short of your abstinence, I suppose). In my opinion, anyone who posts anything on this board (with the exception of a few serious threads that I have read) is game to be made fun of. Especially since you don't have a kid right now.
I always laugh at people who say, "oh I'm going to be such a great dad, I'm great with kids and will do this that and the other and I can't wait to teach them everything I know," because they are the ones that I usually see strung out as shit about all of the crap that their kid gets into. Don't say that you are prepared and want to have a kid until you actually have a kid and can speak from experience. They are a lot of fun, true, but they are a lot of work and can drain every ounce of your energy until you have nothing left to give, and then you have to keep on giving because they are your offspring and you have to provide for them and teach them.
Looking after a kid for an afternoon, or a day, or even a weekend, is
not the same as having a child. My son is two and a half years old, and I love him to death, but there are days when all I want to do is put my head down and scream. And those days come to every single parent. It isn't all a happy go lucky experience -- you will be put through turmoil, pushed to exhaustion, and driven insane, and still have to come out the other end hoping to impart enough knowledge about how to get by in life that they don't come out completely fucked up.
I honestly don't care what you think, how you live your life, or anything like that. You posted something in the Hang Out (where we make fun of
everything. Ray once made the comment that made son had dyke hair). Anything goes in the Hang Out, and when people who actually have kids start making fun of your post, it's pretty much fair game in my opinion. I'm sorry if I offended you, but on the other hand... I'm really not. I am words on the Internet to you -- the fact that you take anything that I'm saying seriously, or to heart, should also give you an idea of how incredibly unprepared you are to be having a child. And the fact that you got angry, and decided to make a very thinly veiled threat, about something that a complete stranger on the Internet, should also paint a pretty good idea of where your maturity level stands. Not to say that you're immature, but at the same time... based on the very limited knowledge I have of you, I think you are not quite ready to have someone's life be completely dependent on your actions.
Just my two cents worth. Don't base anything on your life around what I say, just the same as I don't give two shits what goes on around EP when I'm offline.
