Yeah, I was amazed at how easy it is after all the things you hear about people having to go before a tribunal in the US to do it. Heck you don't technically even have to pay anything here.

Under British law it's completely legal to go under any name you want so long as you don't intend to commit fraud. But in order to change your name on passports, bank accounts etc..., you need a document signed by you verifying the change of name. There are a whole bunch of websites that produce them. Technically you could make your own, if you wanted. But I figured I didn't really know what I was doing, and it was easier just to pay the small charge. :'D
