It happens to every console.
I think their effort would be better spent in updating their system to prevent this method of hack.
I mean seriously, sure you can get upset someone who posted a video like that, but to take it out on all the commenters?
What, are they making an example of them? Its unlikely that theyll even win anyway.

Sony, u mad brah?
Dey mad.
I think the PS3 has lived its "un-moddable system" period far enough. Of course Sony wants to have the profit it thinks it deserves for its work, but no system is flawless, and Sony should be aware of that after having its PS1 widely chip-modded and the PS2 after that. Even if they have planned for another 10 years of pocket grinding with the PS3, trying to find someone to blame or a method to brick all those jailbroken PS3s will just /punch their fanbase. Just get over it and keep working on your PS4 or whatever.
And now, they say they're trying to remove the code used by jailbreak... from the internet. To quote Sony's own lawyers: “That cat is not going back in the bag. Indeed, Sony’s own pleadings admit that the code necessary to jailbreak the Sony Playstation computer is on the internet. Sony speaks of “closing the door”, but the simple fact is that there is no door to close. The code sought to be restrained will always be a Google search away,” reads the lawsuit. Let's face it. Sony has the most power and they'll continue to press until they shut down every outlet.
This wouldn't be a problem if people respected what they got. Unfortunately most don't even care.
