I was still using a 32" CRT up until two months ago. >.<
I suppose that's reasonable. I had a tiny 13" thing that I had in my bedroom at my dad's house until last October. I never really had the money or the urge to upgrade to anything extravagant before then. Now I have a 32", 780p for the PS3.

The only reason I upgraded, finally, was because movies were starting to look like absolute crap on it. And I wanted to get rid of my entertainment unit, and figured that getting a TV that wouldn't fit in it would be a good way to force myself to chuck it. When I get home I'm gonna take a hammer to it and throw it out.

Okay, but only if I can greet you with a "Welcome, friend! Hail!" message.
I've just been reading conversations between Ray and Ivolt, and watching enough LPs, for long enough to hone my senses I guess.

    Agreed.

    The shitty cheap ones man.

Not the cool one you probably have.

I only say it because my school has like.. 30-40 all over the campus showing like news and shit, and they are old enough that they are tearing, and it looks like a computer monitor, if you covered it in yarn...

    Well.

Ivolt is actually 95% rage, and 5% man.

42" 1080p plasma, with full 1080 lines of motion resolution, brah. I figure I may as well get the one I want most if I'm going to buy one, since it's not something I'll be replacing within the next several years.

As for why plasma, better response times/refresh rates, and better blacks. Shitty contrast in the blacks makes me sad.

    oh god :/

Makes me wish i had a source for aftermarket LCD screens for laptops.

This one is shitty when it comes to black contrast, and it makes me angry, cause my $100 Asus does wonders.

    I couldn't care less.

I was super excited when I first put in GoWIII and saw the amazingness of HD for the first time in a non-Best Buy type of setting, but I quickly got over it. Now I'm just happy to have a TV that I can see from across the room, if I so choose.

    Mine is a... umm...

    Samsung 42" Plasma 720p HDTV

I think. Pretty sure it's Samsung. This would be so much easier if I was actually at home right now to look at it.

Biggest bother for me is not being able to see all of the picture.

I don't know. Maybe when I get a job this year I'll be more enthusiastic. But I have more important things to upgrade first. Like our apartment and car.
