The only reason I upgraded, finally, was because movies were starting to look like absolute crap on it. And I wanted to get rid of my entertainment unit, and figured that getting a TV that wouldn't fit in it would be a good way to force myself to chuck it. When I get home I'm gonna take a hammer to it and throw it out.
The shitty cheap ones man.
Not the cool one you probably have.
I only say it because my school has like.. 30-40 all over the campus showing like news and shit, and they are old enough that they are tearing, and it looks like a computer monitor, if you covered it in yarn...
42" 1080p plasma, with full 1080 lines of motion resolution, brah. I figure I may as well get the one I want most if I'm going to buy one, since it's not something I'll be replacing within the next several years.
As for why plasma, better response times/refresh rates, and better blacks. Shitty contrast in the blacks makes me sad.
I don't know. Maybe when I get a job this year I'll be more enthusiastic. But I have more important things to upgrade first. Like our apartment and car.
