You could be a conscientious objector.
Or if you get called up, go on a killing spree and do some time.

    There are always options.

I wanted to go and troll him myself, since none of my nursing classmate understood the hilarious significance. But he's too young to understand.

His mother isn't allowed to have contact with him, and I don't think his father came in whilst we were there, or I'd have trolled them, instead.

I'm gonna start gathering money just in case.

They'll go 'ha-ha' and send me anyway.

Jails are run by druglords and they're warzones inside.

At this point you can tell what a poor excuse of country Mexico is.

    Seriously though, conscription is scary.

In my family, you're not allowed to complain about the slightest thing in your life, if you're anywhere near my grandfather.

"Ugh. I'm so stressed out about this test, I'm ready for school to be finished!"
"STFU. When I was your age I was being shot at in Vietnam."

Oh, so he's an orphan? More trolling material!

I know right? It's always sad when someone doesn't get a reference, I had that happening with someone regarding football (won't go in details, don't worry) and he was like...I don't get it.

How can you not get it? It was in 2001.

I was 9 years old back then.

    Jesus Christ.

What? I didn't tell you that story? Hospitals, what interesting places. I thought I'd heard everything after my psychiatric rotation. Cloud Strife begs to differ.
Now we just need to get one of those kids named Sephiroth in there with him.

Only officially. We don't tend to care much.

Well, he has a point. You can't tell him about having a harsh life at all.

Not saying he's right or anything, but you know...

You wouldn't be a coward, you would be smart. Why the hell should the government have the right to send people to kill others and possibly lose their life for something they might not even agree with? You can be sure the government officials and their families won't be on that list of draftees either.

Except the US embassy trained the Canadian one in here to do the Visa interviews, at least here.

And knowing how much of douches the US embassy guys are, most Visas are rejected now.

    My grandparents fought nazis.

    Clearly, they are superior.

The "boat person" option is the only viable option I see.

Not quite, but he's definitely going to have parental issues when he grows up!

It's so terrible. The only people I see, aside from my boyfriend and family, with any kind of frequency in any kind of social interaction, are mostly old ladies who think video games are like a cancer. "Bu--but it's so funny! His name is Cloud. You just don't understand."

I couldn't even come home and explain it to my boyfriend and have him understand the full significance.

    I felt so soulless. ;___;

If you don't have a visa, just bring your mastercard.
