Yeah, that is true, though. I had to think about it like, "I'm sure there was something that was an FPS that wasn't linear as all fuck", but I came up blank.

Yeah, that's true. Any FPS games with nonlinearity all seem to be RPG/FPS hybrids though.

There are definitely FPS games that try and provide different paths/choices throughout the game, but most of them are pretty weak, and don't end up making much of a difference in the end. Aside from Fallout and Mass Effect and those types of games, but that's kind of different imo.

Linear RPGs are a whole hell of a lot better than sandbox style games.

Jazz delivered a crushing defeat to me in Triple Triad .

I like sandbox games though, there's more to do after you beat the game and it's fun to fuck around in when you're bored.

I tend to wander around like a boob trying to figure out how to progress the plot .

Haha. Yeah, I saw where I thought you were going with it, so I dropped that in there, while making sure to speak to the same person you were speaking to.

I'm outta here, back to trying to learn Japanese. I figure if I work at it I might be able to play Growlanser 1, 4, and 6 one of these days .
