    Learn to run.

    Learn to not be encumbered.

    Learn to use a shield.

    Learn to snipe.

There are so many ways around that.

Yeah, I know where you're at. I remember getting killed by those once or twice, but had a lot more trouble with the strafing dragons in world 1 than I did with the rocks in 2.

You can inch your way fairly close without getting hit, just watch them a few times for timing, then run like hell. Or, like Ray said, sniping works as well.

I haven't read any in a really long time, but at the very least I remember the cover of Attack of the Deranged Killer Monster Snowmen.

Sniping falling rocks? Something I don't know?
And the Strafing Dragon gave me no problems. Although the ambush in 1:1 with the two dudes with spears fucked me up like 6 times. I keep pressing the wrong buttons. I tend to use my items on accident a lot when I try to block something.

Running still gets me hit with rocks.

I didn't know you could block fallring rocks.

    How...?

There are two creatures up there throwing them down at you. You should be able to see them.

Also, watch out for the big fat guys with magic.

I should learn to LOOK UP then.

Yeah the big fat guys aren't a problem. I just cut them with a knife a few times and roll. repeat

Then you're doing it wrong. Patterns, man.

You can't block them, but if you get hit with your shield up you take considerably less damage.

I can't imagine you'd be wearing heavy armor or something, I'm assuming you've still only finished 1-1 at this point. I've never tried to block them, myself.

That might help a little bit, yes.

    Haha, knives.

Yeah. I read that doing 1:1 then 2:1, 3;1, etc.. was the best way for new players.

I think I went 1-1, 3-1 for someone to teach me some magic, 1-2, and who knows what order after that.
