It doesn't, it just changes your default loadout and initial skill setup. As well as which rare/unique items you start out with. By the time you hit the halfway point the starter class shouldn't have any effect on anything.

I died a ton when I first started playing, too. And there are a lot of bosses I thought were less difficult to beat than actually getting through the level itself. Also, it really doesn't.

I've seen stickers like that before and they're just old stickers. If you buy it, the price is actually lower on the receipt.
