So, I finished my first round of Demon's Souls, after much deliberating and a conversation or two with Ray. Either magic is more broken than I thought, and I've over leveled, or that ending was rather...easy.

It's just that easy. 1-4 pretty much is the final real boss. The ending boss is practically a joke.

Although the justification is more or less that Allant isn't able to control the power of the old one, and it ended up mutating him into a weak as shit demon who can barely defend himself. Possibly because he took a few too many shortcuts. Compared to the main character, who is able to control that power and has spent the entire game being groomed by the Maiden to be some sort of super demon. In short, the king wanted to be what you became by that point. Obviously, you show him the difference between the two of you.
