Eh, I don't see anything out of the ordinary for someone trying to troll. If I were to head off somewhere to troll, I would start throwing around huge words that don't particularly make sense when talking to the first person to use any words that aren't generally considered part of the common parlance.

We've got some pretty heavy snow coming down here, as well. Thick for Texas, anyhow. We're supposed to get something like four inches by tomorrow. TIME TO SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN.

It just started snowing this morning, so the streets are still pretty and pristine. In my neighborhood, at least. I have no intention of going out to find out how the town looks.

Who are we talking about that may be a troll? There have been a few cases since the rollback where I was suspicious of a new member being an old member with a different name

In his first thread, on his first encounter with mistral, when she chewed him out for using big words to try to sound smart his response was pretty much:

Isn't that what you always do?

Ignoring that, there was a one post account in that same thread with a vaguely similar naming convention that popped in long enough to say "I agree" then never log in or post ever again. It also reeks of disguised writing style.

Ah. He does feel a little Bayer-ish. Honestly, I believed OminousPrime was garren for a while before garren actually posted something after the rollback and then disappeared in a grand announcement.

The south would have you believe snow was the apocalypse.

My town has yet to discover the miracle of salt. They also refuse to invest in snow plows to any degree.

Eh, it isn't hard to notice that someone else is using big words and troll them for it. Like I said before, if I were to pick a forum at random and try to troll the most verbose or clever respondents, I'd be sure to pick out whatever unique qualities they have and present them as flaws. I wouldn't have to know beforehand, as there's always one person on a forum with a considerably larger vocabulary that likes to flaunt it.

As for the single-poster, that's kind of a null issue. A troll making a second account to support himself isn't a strange thing, whether it's a community where they are known or not.

You give him more credit than I would.

Not at all, but it's totally against the rules. Just pointing this out for any admins that are passing by once he stops being entertaining.

Heh, yeah, he's banned from a few other places and does seem to sound like a fucking idiot who has little to no understanding of the language.

I burn one, play one. Otherwise, I get bored fast and change games and end up never playing what I downloaded.

He's still amusing to me, at least, otherwise I wouldn't bother with him at all. It's pretty obvious that he's faking his abuses of the English language, though. He's basically stringing together thesaurus words that are just close enough, yet he appears to actively avoid synonyms that are actually spot on. His use of random Latin does ring alarm bells as far as trolling, though. It'd be pretty obvious from my reply alone that my vocabulary is rather unusual, and he didn't start responding in this manner until after my post, too. It wasn't particularly clever of him to do so if he wished to annoy people, though; that sort of linguistic abuse is more often seen as a joke than a nuisance.

I'm also doubtful that he's an alt from a previous user here. If he were, he probably wouldn't accuse me of listening to the Beatles in order to provoke a response. I'd think he'd pick something more pop, less rock, and more recent than the British Invasion, maybe Morning Musume or something.

I've been there so many times. It's one of the risks of downloading games.
