That ending was rather painful to watch, I can't imagine having to play it.
Nope. Gare more or less stated that he watched an LP similar to this and to prepare for a wallbanger of an ending. He was right.

Evans chuckled and commented that it was stupid.

Ivolt's reaction was more or less "oh wow."

Nobody tried to talk me into Aline's route. Quiji told me it was "better", however. But this was back when I was asking which character I should play through first, when I assumed I would be capable and willing to do both scenarios. I wasn't expecting it to be so brain hurtingly bad, nor quite as long as it was.

Ivolt showed interest in possibly playing it. But it's Ivolt.

I may get around to it eventually, but I currently have 2 solo LP projects ongoing, and neither is above 50% done. So it'll be waiting until at least those are gone.

But I must say, I am a little curious about how her story plays out. I'm just conflicted about whether or not it'd be worthwhile, whether or not anyone would want to see it, or whether or not I can do it in a timely manner (the first disc was pretty puzzle heavy for carnby, and I got turned around a couple times).

    So yea.

Once that counter hits 0, I'm going to be on you like a pair of briefs that are two sizes too small.

    It will be magnificent.

I almost made you say "fuck" once.

    I know, I HEARD IT.
Even if I almost did, I did not actually say it.

Which reminds me, I'll probably be stuck out here for another week, possibly more.

And I haven't updated any LP threads in quite some time.

Operation buffer project should get greenlit, I reckon.

I see. I was curious, but I didn't want to basically necro-post your thread, so I thought I would just wait to ask when you were online and in the hangout.

Personally, I think it would be interesting to see what's different about Aline's, but I would probably be content just reading a wiki page about it or something. I'm certainly not playing through all that myself, and I'm also unwilling to make even the slightest attempt to persuade you to suffer through it all again. I thought it was really interesting up until the ending started spiraling out of control, though it was amusing recalling which bits and pieces you had already made conclusions about in like the second video.

You LPers are lovely, suffering through games so I don't have to. Or at least, I get to suffer a little less.

They can scroll down. It surely can't be that much work. I might do it at some point. Possibly. When I have a proper mouse.

You don't have to suffer at all if you turn off the audio.

That's about the only thing that interests me about Aline's version. Her storyline more or less appears to be laid out alongside carnby's, and the gameplay is pretty typical PSX era survival horror fare. And not even especially great PSX era survival horror fare.

Things I was horribly off on:

-there was no mistaken identity involving the twins (at least, not in Carnby's version)
    - there was no boss fight against the father (ditto)
    - Obed lived clear through to the finale.

    And probably some other stuff.

I'm kind of depressed that I was somewhat accurate on carnby being some sort of mystical indian messiah. I just wish it wasn't so damned literal. With an actual indian god speaking to you during the final area about how you're his son.

I made its internal organs shoot out of various bodily orifices. I think we're pretty much even, that rat and I.

But then how will you hear my constant groaning and facepalming once the game not only jumps the shark, but jumps it repeatedly and then decides to jump into the shark's mouth while summersaulting?

I attempted to once. I signed up and was planning to start playing, then about three days later I got an email from them saying that the open beta was over and it would now cost money to play. At which point I said "Fuck that noise." Eventually a friend convinced me to try a private server, which ended up not working for one reason or another.

Game looks boring as shit and it seems most servers are littered with hackers/script kiddies, so I never played. Even when he offered to send me a disc and whatever.

On a more serious note, not my thang.
