There are width and height restrictions on signature sizes, whether they are being uploaded or using the [img][/img] codes, of 500x100.
That image exceeds it.
that one guy in metal gear solid 2 pisses me off. or rather pisses on me and i stand there like an idiot and call the cornal lol
The restrictions aren't really enforced, but you will need to use a different image hosting services if you're going to do that. You can try Imageshack or Photobucket if you're going to go that way, but that might be a bit large in either case. I think I've only had one sig that broke 550 px across, and only a handful very much above 200 px height.
Oh, sorry, you did use a different image hosting provider. Hold on, and I'll test a few of my own sigs to see if it's a filesize issue or a dimensions issue.
EDIT:
But that really isn't the topic here, is it? This is a legitimate request for assistance regarding a forum feature, not a general query on what ails you.

Oh, OK, I think I see now. Luffy4, how are you adding it to your signature? All you need to do is take the direct URL to the image, throw IMG tags around it, and put it in the Edit Signature box. Photobucket generates this automatically (the "IMG code" option), and I've thrown an example in the code below. You don't need to use the uploading tool underneath that if you're uploading to a different image hosting service. I didn't think the forum checked every individual image referenced in your signature's code for violations of the rules automatically, which is why I was so confused once you mentioned that you did use a different image provider.

I shuffled through a whole bunch of old sigs of all sorts of sizes, and it doesn't look like it's checking the URLs themselves. Not that I see how it would either, but it's pretty normal for me not to see things that are fairly obvious when you know that they exist.
EDIT 2: Oh, and don't just straight copy-paste the example code above; use the code from Photobucket or at least type the "img" parts out manually. I broke it intentionally to keep it from switching to an image. Apparently, you can only prevent auto-parsing for links in the options.

Make it smaller. Does anyone want to actually see signatures the size of Paul Bunyan? I'm sure they made the rule for a reason.
*If my post was helpful, click the star in the lower left corner of it to say "Thanks".
*My username will unlock my uploads, if a password is needed.
*Games, Guitars, or Girls... choose any two.
If you still have problems luffy, just make it a little smaller before uploading to whatever imagehost you're using.
While my sig isn't as big as yours, I am using photobucket and I'm not retro or staff here.
Make it smaller, and manually input the link plus img code tags into the Edit Signature > Your Signature: box......not the Upload Signature Picture section.
I seem to recall I had a problem using the upload methods when I tried to restore my sig after the recent crash![]()
Spoiler warning:
Deadlegion, i made it even smaller than yours but it was still being ridiculous, that why i made this thread, but thanks for eveyones help, i think i can get it now
*EDIT i tried typing [IM G]http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn168/luffy4/SlySigcopy-1.png[/IMG] (without the space) and it said invalid file
tried http://i304.photo bucket.com/albums/nn168/luffy4/SlySigcopy-1.png and it said "Remote file too large"
serious fail...
also, this is small enough i assume?
