That would have been a helluva lot better.Oh well. I managed to grab some decent tasting stuff from a place I hardly ever go, because it's not really along the way to anything. It's not terrible... and I grabbed two cups, 'cause I know they'll be closed later and I don't feel like going out again.
And it makes me feel less lonely when I buy two cups, like I have someone waiting for me at home.![]()
Question: a couple of the posts in the PSX list point to personal blogs and stuff where you can go to download the games (the one that I'm looking at looks like it's in Spanish, or Italian, or something...). Do we allow these kinds of links?![]()
Aw.
Hm. That's a good question. Though I feel like I've asked it a few times in the mod lounge, I can't recall the answer. I've removed similar links recently because there were also links to music and to adult sites, but I think Cookie said otherwise it would have been okay.
I'm not sure though, and I don't want to put words into anyone's mouth.
I've got a question I'm about to post in the lounge, too, though.![]()
:chu:
Now that you've said that, I vaguely recall that someone (I think it was Cookie) said that as long as everything else on that site would be acceptable for what would be posted here (ie, no warez or porn, etc...) then it would be allowed. But in all honesty, there's no way of checking all of these sites to make sure that they don't contain these in the future, if they aren't already displaying them. And since it's in Italian, I can't honestly tell without using Google Translate.
Misc. links finally finished! I've only been trying since yesterday to get EP to cooperate with me long enough to do that.![]()
Also, when MU comes up with "temporarily unavailable," does it do this regardless of whether the links are dead or alive, or only if they are alive? I've been making a note of the ones that say "temporarily unavailable" so I can check them again later, but if it only does it when they are alive then I won't worry about it and just assume they are still active.
It can take ages, but I find that once I go through a page or two I develop a sort of clicking routine or something and then everything starts going much faster. In any case, don't feel bad if you don't do a whole ton of it. But I appreciate your help! And I'm sure Tan does, too.
Links that are dead usually won't show that message. However, sometimes it can show the temp. unavailable error for days, in which case it's best to consider the links dead. There's no way of knowing how long that message has been up with games from '07-'08, but I just took a chance and considered the one or two that I found to be dead.
When the links are viable, however, it won't last for longer than a few hours, or maybe a day at the max.
I've started to get a pretty good routine. It's actually kind of relaxing, listening to some mellow acoustic music on my massive headphones, drinking coffee and going down this giant list.
And the reason that I ask is because I've encountered a lot (probably upwards of ten so far, between the first two pages), so I don't want to remove them if they are still active. Especially since I'm removing a lot of dead ones already. I'll continue to post my "temporarily unavailable" signs, and if I end up starting to split them I'll check them again, or ask the person who does do it to check them again, and if they are still "unavailable" at that point then just consider them dead, I suppose.Originally Posted by Milady

Yay! I'm all smart and stuff.
Also, when I was driving to grab coffee, they were playing Bad Religion - 21st Century Digital Boy on the radio. Ahhh, Christmas music.![]()
Also, I like how BlueHulk waits until Cookie goes on holiday to start mass uploading in the music section.![]()
