XII, as I'm 10:30 into it, but I'm stuck at Ifrit

10 hours 30 seconds? I don't think you're anywhere near finished (unless perhaps you did none of the side quests/hunts/ect, and even then I'm doubtful considering where you are)... it took me about 90 hours to beat that game. Not including the times I died...

Anyway, I'd say go with XII (unless you're fed up with it at the moment), Valkyrie Profile, or perhaps Front Mission (if you feel like a strategy rpg).

To be honest, it was hard for me to narrow it down even that much... I was tempted to say Vagrant Story as well, but you said you can't get into it, so... I'll also say FF IX if you feel like a FF game and don't feel like playing XII.

Is your most recent save on the Ifrit? If not, I'd suggest doing some hunts to level up and expand your mist board (or whatever it's called... I haven't played the game since I started college )
