So Friday, my World History teacher Coach Daniel, he taught us something that I thought made him a really great teacher.
He had given out all of these papers to us with quotes on them about Christopher Columbus. From really acknowledged scholars and some from normal people. He read them out to us and it had facts that Columbus had done. He made a chart on the board beforehand, I forgot to mention it. Before we had read them he had ustell him if we thought Colubus deserved a holiday. 11 said yes, 2 said no. After we had read all these facts about him, he did it again, he said "Who thinks he deserves a holiday now?" 1 said Yes, the rest said no. After doing so he had said it was the same in every class he had. He then told us that everything we had read was complete bullshit. He had made it all up the night before. Said that we shouldn't believe everything we're told and to challenge things we're told. We all agreed and he then said "I lied again, these really are from real people." I liked that lesson alot. He's in my opinion the best teacher I've ever had. Why did I just remeber that? no idea.
