I tested a DC ISO using WinRar fastest, and best. Best compressed over 100MB smaller...

I'm sticking with best.

I guess it's different for different computers.

I don't really like 7Zip. I tried it a few times, and while it's slightly better at compressing, it's not as widely accepted as WinRar, and leads many new people to continually ask how to unzip the ISOs.

I'm also using v3.62 which supports multithreading. I have an Athlon X2, so I figured I'd benefit from the "two" processors.

Just wanted to know if it compressed better with regular settings.
When I used to upload PSX and PS2 games, the results would vary from a game to another with the same settings. Some would compress better with WinRAR, and some with 7zip. I mainly used RAR for the reasons you mentioned, though. Silly newblets. -__-
