Well, this is the only game I have tried since I got the new router. But I am certain that it is a problem with my internet or xbox live. When I say black screen I mean it goes to a screen that only displays the scoreboard and then a black background. It normally shows that when a new host is selected because of the host quiting the game, or after the game is over. In this case if just happens randomly.

edit: I don't think there is anything wrong with your games or xbox, but I've read that there are quite a few games that will do what you're describing unless you have a specific patch for them.

On Xbox Live the patches are downloaded and installed automatically. A patch was released a few days ago for Halo 3 but I was playing on it fine a few days ago.

When I try that I can't even connect to the internet. I must have done something a while ago to make that happen.
