Are you trying to play it on a console or emulator? If emulator, what emulator and version of the emulator are you using? Do you have memory card files in the memcard folder (if using emulator)?

i suggest downloading psxge 1.60 (google psxge160 and find it) from there you can open up the program then select save mc image. then save the memory card into your memory card folder. make sure you choose an acceptable file format to save it; i usually use .mcd for epsxe

What exactly is the problem? An error or what? Or does it say MEMORY CARD 1 but is blacked out? That means it hasn't read the card yet ;p

good ff7 kicks ff9 ass anyday, i played both thx to emulparadise i played ff9 first and was fun, then ff7 is even better, i just finished xenogears and that was very good with a moody story but not much gameplay but the story is pretty memorable, now i cant wait to play vagrant story.
