Well, I've become a weird mix of Elin and Ray called Ralin

It all started when I suggested that Elin and Ray screw with Evans

Some other naturally occurring gases contribute very small fractions of the greenhouse effect; one of these, nitrous oxide (N2O), is increasing in concentration owing to human activity such as agriculture. The atmospheric concentrations of CO2 and CH4 have increased by 31% and 149% respectively since the beginning of the industrial revolution in the mid-1700s. These levels are considerably higher than at any time during the last 650,000 years, the period for which reliable data has been extracted from ice cores. From less direct geological evidence it is believed that CO2 values this high were last attained 20 million years ago.[27] Fossil fuel burning has produced about three-quarters of the increase in CO2 from human activity over the past 20 years. Most of the rest is due to land-use change, in particular deforestation.[28]

They are also significant elements in landscaping and agriculture, both for their aesthetic appeal and their orchard crops (such as apples). Wood from trees is a common building material. Trees also play an intimate role in many of the world's mythologies (see trees in mythology).
So wouldn't the logical thing to do to put a cease to global warming be to stop cutting down trees and start planting more?

Feel free to tl;dr this post, especially if you already believe in global warming.

Yes, but since have the people in charge of that cared? They're all
baby-boomers who are going to die before any serious reprecusions.

    Or so they think.

Where I live it never snowed, if it did once a year, it was a big deal. That was ten years ago. This winter, it has snowed every week at least two inches at a time. That is not natural near Seattle.

Just recently, 68 tornados touched down in Tennessee and the surrounding states within 12 hours. These states are outside of "Tornado Alley" where tornados are a common occurance.

And if the last four "unusually active" hurricane seasons haven't convinced you, I'm not sure what will. Remember hurricane Katrina?

Some people are saying that these are all caused by a natural climate shift that occurs every few thousand years. While it may be true that there are occasional climate shifts, this one is extraordinarily early. And, strangely enough, the people who use this as evidence against global warming are the same people seen to be the main offenders; oil barons and the such.
