What class was it? Surely it can't be as bad as Strategies for Problem Solving or Intro to PCs.... Can it?

Linguistics, it's somewhat like a essential subject in my school, (Sciences of Communication, lol, looks weird to translate it. )

Thing is, the teacher is an almost 70-year old guy who keeps complaining about the school, how screwed we are for being young, and basically being an ass and that stuff. Also, we have to buy a lot of books in less than a week or else we'll fail the subject.
And what pisses me off is that another teacher in my last semester was in charge of that class, and I had Semiotics and Universal Literature with her and she knew how to teach, she only asked us to get one "book" she compiled with pages of lots of books and it was sold inside the school. I learned so much things from her and it was one of the best classes since I began going to (College? I think >__> ? ) and I'm missing her a lot right now.
