SegaCD Problems

Well looks like you've been helping roach here out quite a bit. I wonder if you might help me too. Please?

I downloaded the cuteftp, but I'm having trouble connecting. Other than that I'm not sure what to do next. Argh, I feel like such a confused n00b. (hmm, well maybe I am.)

I had the same problem as you guys with Lunar and Snatcher, but I realized it was a naming problem. I extracted all of the files and renamed them to conform to the Gens standard.

Ex:
Lunar.iso
Lunar 02.mp3
Lunar 03.mp3
Lunar 04.mp3
etc...

It's funny because I remember the Sega CD for Lunar only had one or two audio tracks on it, but the one from EP had like 50. After doing this for Snatcher and Lunar mine worked. The iso must be un-numbered, and the mp3s have to use 2 digits and start from 02. Put them all in the same directory and boot the iso, should work.

Nevermind, I got it to work.

Ugh, Lunar still doesn't work. Did I download the right file? It's the lunar.rar, right? And when I extract it it's the lunar.brm, correct?

I never really understood the whole renaming thing. I can change the name of my files, but I don't know how to change the file type.

you dont need to change the file type, if you extracted the .rar they should be the right file types and I suspect the emuparadise Lunar.iso is wrong so does Roach, try downloading from somewhere else? I got mine from http://www.169s.com/eg365/emu365/games/mdcd.htm
and mine works perfectly...

Yeah, I downloaded from there when you posted that earlier. Still have the same problems. I extract the lunar.rar into the Gens folder, right?
Well, I'll just mess around with this thing for a bit longer and see if anything changes.

Download lunar off the link extract it anywhere you want, load the .iso in gens at bios press A go to memory or options, format both memory go back to main screen go on cd-rom should work...
same thing on sonic cd as well, although you only need to do it once

a good sega cd system might cost you 20$ at best. just buy one and download the games (needs no mod chip, cds are pressed in unprotected mode1)

I recently done that works great too, better than any emulator only mine cost �80 (dunno how much that is in dollars) but I also got 16 games, including sonic cd... now I can play Lunar etc. perfectly

Another note apart from the file name thing

Make sure the "Perfect Sycro" is on in Gens

I know that game runs fine

This sure makes me wish I had a burner since I still have my old, rusty sega cd that still works. Will these isos work in Gens without being burned? I'd lke to play Lunar2.

But I won't bother leeching such a huge file for nothing if it doesn't work. hehe

Otherwise I am off in search of a cheap burner..
