Close call guys. I thought my good headphones were busted. After a wee amount of investigation I sorted out that it was just the 3.5mm adapter. Fixed it right up with some tin foil. I thought I was going to have to break into my pocket to get a new pair. Good thing I watch Red Green. Well, I didn't use duct tape, but what I did was cheap and close enough.

you see the two colored rings on the 3.5mm jack? you're connecting them to each other with tinfoil, so the signal from one goes to both.
