Buying a DS flash cart.
I want to buy a ds flash cart, i can get a 2gig card here should i just get that now and look for the flash card later, i saw the EZ-Flash 5 for $35 and $33.24 and was gonna get it but it seems everyone has an R4. whats the difference? i already have a gba supercard and i love it. i think i want a bs cart that will play gba games so i can give the old one to some one. halp.

I have the R4, but the difference is usually the price is cheaper on the R4 than the complete EZ set. I guess the firmware as well and some more minor things.

With the R4, there is a patch you can use, with the expansion of EZ Flash. It's probably less reliable, and that requires a DS Lite (unless you can find the PHAT version of it).

You mean memory? Kingston 1 GB, all I had to do is drag and drop the firmware, and I got my friend a Kingston 2 GB, and it worked the same way.

All games are placed on the slot-1 card. Both DS and GBA. But in order to play GBA games you also need the slot-2 GBA "extension" that is bundled with the cart. And you also get a free DS rumble pack.
EDIT: Also, no PassMe or firmware updates needed. It works instantly.

You dont need to flash your DS itself in anyway The DS keeps intact and no harm done.
