I've never gotten the chance to use 2000. I've only used 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, 98 SE, ME, XP (Home, Pro), Vista Home Premium (With the performance and reliability updates, I've had not one single problem with this OS).

I know. Most people don't, most of it's critics come from people that listen to mass hysteria created by people that hate M$ and assume it's instant crap and never try it out, even in store demos.

Sprung on the other hand, is just too damn lazy to really try it out. (<3!) Plus it's Dell

2000 is ok, installed it on my old laptop because XP's requirements we're too high for it (just like most comps made back in '01, and just like most comps a year ago when vista was released. Hey, kind of ironic isn't it? ) I had more problems with it then 98, XP and vista combined.

Glad my desktop was top of the line back in '01, cost me 2k, but it still runs like a charm (running XP Pro).

It's more difficult when you try to integrate it into an existing network. Or install a game that works fine on XP (Prey)...

Network discovery isn't rocket science...they should have set Vista up to accept a network hosted on the previous OS they released. At the very least they should make the patch for XP work, instead of trashing it in hopes I'll upgrade to Vista.

I will admit that I DID have problems setting up someone's compaq on a wireless network one time for printer sharing. Took me about an hour to finally get it connected to the XP machine. Ironically the XP machine could connect to it just fine the whole time.
