I was spoiled to the whole "zomedy' concept with Tokyo Zombie, which I saw before Shaun of the Dead. Those are two very, very similar movies. Main differences is Shaun of the Dead is in english, and has some gore.
Hot Fuzz just got every joke right for me. It transcends mere "funny", into God-like awesome. It is indeed pure win.
