The guys that made Afraid of Monsters responded to me and told me how to find the alternate paths through the game, apparently the endings are decided by how you go through the game rather than what you do during it, like Silent Hill 2 (which is what I was expecting). Since the sun's down and the house is empty, I'ma go start my third playthrough now. :O
