I know the youth turn out is low but if they get someone they like, and that they see every night more people will come out and vote.Cause their reminded daily that I must vote for that guy cause he is funny. Besides it's not like your vote really counts to start with.

Seriously, the "youth voters" are stupid, but not retarded. Let's put the power of the United States in the hands of a stand up comedian!

I for one just turned 18, and will be voting for Ron Paul.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think that he has a chance. If anything he will draw votes away from Hillary and Obama.

    GO COLBERT!!!!

I think your cutting short the power of fame. Look at the governor of California, or the former governor of Minnesota. Jesse the body was just a pro wrestler and what I heard in government class is that he won because a bunch of hicks whom never voted finally found a reason to get out and vote.

Read Slashdot, guys. He won't make it on the ballot because, if he does, he'll be breaking laws and shit.

Yep, and in MN at least, the Republicans and DFL learned their lesson and started nominating decent candidates after that embarrassing defeat. CA is different in that it actually was a main party that nominated the governor, but both are pretty much good examples of disillusionment in politics.

Still, I don't think anyone was as good at alienating people like Ventura. "Those streets in [state capital] St. Paul must have been designed by drunken Irishmen" and "Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people" are good for two, but it was pretty funny that he put "media jackals" on the press passes, and he was one of the biggest reasons behind the light rail system.

Just a quick question: Who the hell is Ron Paul? I see banners in and around Phoenix and I still don't know who he is?

Ah ok. I haven't really thought about who I'm voting for next year. Probably who ever strongly supports the carpenters union and presents a better plan to curtail illegal immigration. You guys have any idea on who you'll be voting for?

Ron Paul wants to stop illegals completely.
