It usually takes between 20 minutes to half an hour to install...It's all the updates that take forever. Find Norton Ghost 2003 from somewhere, use it to make a backup of your installation once it's all updated. The next time you have to install XP, it'll only take 10 to 20 minutes from your ghost backup.

*shrug* formatting the HDD's took the longest, sorta walked off after it started, thats my excuse and im sticking to it!

Took an hour for me to install windows, put all my drivers on, look around for my modem CD, i had time to watch my 21st's DVD, play 3 games of Glory Days 2.
Could of took 20mins if i just sat there, but i got 5 new DS games they sorta took my mind off Windows.

PS: went and seen the new resident evil, i didnt know alice had jedi powers OMFG THAR IS A HUGE FIREBALL, USE THE FORCE TO ALICE!

That and shes able to move rocks and shit

Use quick format.

You can backup your XP installation with all your updates and drivers with Ghost or as Darth suggested...Acronis True Image. It saves the ball ache of reinstalling everything from scratch in future...

I used that the last few times, thought id go for a full one, dont know why, just cos?

re-install everything, what WoW and Winamp, yeah real pain in the ass.
Its just the drivers that used to shit me, untill i wacked them on another HDD.
