What emulator you are currently Running
    psx
    What version of the emulator

    v1.13
    What plugins you are using
    comes with plugins
Have you tried other Roms/Images, of the same game
And or if you have tried other emulators
no. they worked fine, and now they are running slow

Press CTRL-ALT-DEL to see what processes you have running in the background--if you see multiple copies of psxfin.exe running, then you need to close all of them, then try starting pSX Emulator again.

If that isn't the problem, then check the CPU and Memory usage to see if there are any processes that are maxing out either one.

How much RAM (memory) does your computer have?

is your whole system slower then normal, or is it just when you try to emulate? and ya, can you post your system specs? right-click on my computer, go to properties, and on the general tab there should be a section on the bottom under the header Computer: copy the stuff in there and paste it here.

pSX uses hardly any systems specs so it running slow has to be a complete system slow down and not the emulator. As long has his hardware supports DirectX 9c and has the latest drivers it should work full speed.

my recommendations would be to scan the hell out of it. spyware, adware, malware, virus etc. then do a disk cleanup, defrag, the whole works. this may be a bigger problem then you thought.

Do you have anything running in the background that you didn't used to have? (check task manager ctrl+alt+del)
