    Default A crash

I had Foobar and Windows Movie Maker open, then I clicked 'next' on Foobar, it locked up. Went to Movie Maker, it locked up. Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to try and remove them from the tasks, nothing. So I hard reset the computer, and now it's okay.

I just had the generic host process has just encountered a problem and must close, too.

WMM uses a LOT of ram, especially if you're encoding a video. Probably just ran out and crashed.

The error I've been getting has become unbearable now, is there a fix to stop it from doing it?

I know this isn't the right thread but it would appear my other's disappeared..

"generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and must close".

I have to start/restart about 3 times before it'll stop happening... It's really annoying. There must be something I can do that isn't formatting this piece of shit.

Anyway I'm about to restart the PC because once this has happened ICS stops working. Do you think it is my ethernet card? It is really old and stuff. It only started to happen when I plugged the 360 into it and not the Xbox.

Aren't you using Vista? If so, yes I really think it's the ethernet card.

edit: I don't think it is drivers because this card used to work fine before I tried ICS'in' with the Xbox360/PC. I should just give up and get a router...

Ugh once I get this error Foobar stops working.

I don't think it's the drivers, I might just take this stupid card out if it's causing all this hassle.

Ah there's a problem with my sound device. Lovely!

Just when I thought it was fixed, nope. Still happening. I think I'm gonna take the NIC out.

If everything was fine 'til you hooked up the 360, then obviously there is something wrong with the NIC.... or the 360, which is likely

    Yeah they're like £8, but I don't need another.

    I'll just get a router/use one at a time.

Btw my cable modem has a USB & Ethernet socket on it, would it be possible to use both simultaneously?

No, in order to do that 2 IPs would have to be assigned and a few other minor headaches
