I had AOL until about 2003, and I remember I refused to even attempt downloading anything bigger than 3 MB or so.Any bigger than that and the file would end up corrupted or I'd time-out. I dropped them when my PC asploded and got PeoplePC instead, and with THAT they auto-kicked me and made me re-login every four hours, but other than that I had a constant stable connection. I downloaded files in the GB's in size on dialup with PeoplePC.
It'd take me about two weeks to torrent a modern game.
As I was walking down the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish he'd go away.

My first home internet was about at 2003 with dialup. It was a nice service, you had to get a card at a 7-11 of about 9 bucks, scratched some area with a coin, and there was this code. You used some account and phone number to get online and entered the code to get like 15 days of internet.
Man, I'm feeling old.![]()
