I only use the PC for the internet...dloading and burning discs. I don't play games on it, so it's not essential to upgrade, I'd like a new PC...but I have other more important things to think about.

Your fairly modern parts run unbearably slow because your level of suck somehow spread onto your hardware, so I doubt Jackhammer's is much worse than yours.
