For XP, ASPI .dll files go in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder.

*sigh* nope, what would happen if I tried to figure out by testing each, nothing seriously bad would happen would it? or maybe there a place somewhere in the CP that would tell me?

each 'read mode' thats listed. like first I'd test BE_1 (ATAPI SPEC 1) if I were to chose the wrong one and tried running a PSX game, this wouldn't screw anything up would it?

or maybe there is a place to just look up which read mode is correct, like maybe somewhere in the CP?

No, it won't screw up anything.

    That only affects ePSXE.
It won't change anything else on your comp.

maybe that plugin doesn't work with vista... I tried all of the read modes, all of them caused ePSXe to close with a error screen.

oh no I don't think it was that recent. you went so far as to provide me with a link to DL you're working copy of it. but it still didn't work. though, now I have a new PC maybe it'll work for me now! lol

this was when you had that black dude from that NES boxing game in you're sig and avatar.

I think either my old account was deleted for inactivity, or my old name was just "Warp".

    Oh, I remember that.

Your old account didn't get deleted because of inactivity though.

Everyone who joined after January 2006 lost their account when the forum crashed and we had to rollback to the last time the forum's database was saved.

    Which was January 2006.

I might have the date wrong, but it was sometime in early 2006.

Yeah, that was me with the black guy from Punch Out! for my avatar.
    That was awhile ago.

    Well, welcome back to EP.

Mental note: never buy a quad core PC for gaming.
