Here in the states you better just not fail. You fail in Elem./Middle/High School in more than 2 classes, you don't get credit for anything in that grade. If you just fail one you have to attend summer school to get credit. In college, if you fail you don't get credit for that course, your GPA plummets and your pretty much fucked.

    Over here is like this.

    Elementary - 6 Years
    Secondary - 3 Years
    High School - 2 Years
    College? - About 5 Years.

After College you can keep on being a Master or a Doctorate, but that's optional, plus, if you fail in Elementary or Secondary, you're pretty much a retarded person, not a person who has brain or learning problems, I mean, a RETARDED.

You fail a subject, but if you passed the exam to college you gotta do an exam like two weeks before College begins, if you don't clear that one, then you get screwed by one semester.
    Now:
10th grade has two math classes: 416 and 436. Former being the regular, easier one. It's the new standard to get in college. Meaning that if you fail math 416, you need to retake that class during summer or whatever before you can even start anything in college. If you succeed, then you go on to college and take a class to level up with the other students, then you can start the regular college maths.

    Before:
11th grade has 516 and 536. Standard to get into college was 516.

Thing is, the only reason for this is to make sure students don't fail. It's partly because it costs more when students fail. The rest of the idea is that if kids fail, they feel bad, and then are traumatized for the rest of their life. :eyeball:
Seriously, our system is overrun with protective mothers and their castrating psycho babble on child development and whatever. I'm all too fucking fed up with that shit.

The old system worked, didn't it? It did?! Yeah, I know. Fuck you, cunts.
