Awesome, now I just need to get myself a PSP... somehow.

I didn't mind the voices all that much, given you didn't hear them often. I really liked the touch of having characters yell out other player's names when they die or attacked hard, if they like that character. In general the entire combat engine and system was perfect to me in SO2.
Shadowrun on the Genesis was better gameplay-wise, but the SNES version had the superior story, in my opinion.

PSP's aren't that expensive anymore. I still don't have one mind you, but I'll be picking either that or a DS up by the end of the year.

    Haha.

I'm thinking of taking Computer Science this year so that I can take the Advanced course next year. I have to take it anyway, and I should have taken it during sophomore year along with health, so why not?

Danny, nevermind, I found a Vista look-like folder in one of his downloads. I'm gonna take it to my place. Thanks anyways.

    Off I go!

Nice to see you around Ed.

I'll admit that they were just about bearable, given that they only turned up in battle. But in terms of actual quality... *shivers* With the exception of Shining Force III on the Saturn, I haven't really heard substantially worse. It wasn't just the acting, but the sound quality too. Half of them sounded completely muffled, which made the whole thing seem completely half-assed to me...

    ...

Though since playing Shining Force III, Star Ocean 2's actually seem good. Seriously, they're that bad. >.<

Totally agreed about the battle engine, though. With the exception of the odd bit of clunkiness here and there (I remember occasional moments were healing items just didn't take effect, and I ended up dying ), it really was so much fun. Actually, I liked it much better than the fully 3-D sequel's battle engine... So I'm totally hyped about a remake of Star Ocean 1 with what look to be the same mechanics. :3

    Yes. Very yes.

No, but seriously, it's totally one of my favourite games ever. The stuff of legends.

Okie dokie. And, oops, the one I just linked to is for XP, not Vista.

    Bye bye!

For some reason, whenever I think of that game, I always first remember the Puppet Master and Dire Clowns.

Nice hearing from you. Stay longer next time. Though...I'm not one to talk. Usually I post the odd stray post here and there in the hangout and then completely forget about it...

    Blasphemy! That's Shining Force 1.

...which is still great. And yeah, that's the battle in Shining Force 1 that always sticks with me too. Blasted Freeze 3. Or was it Freeze 4? All I remember was him repeatedly stomping my force when I was eight.
