Never played 3, I looking for it.
    They sold berries in 4.
In 5, I have to go looking for trees because only one person can heal/revive.

In WA3 you couldn't buy berries and there were no trees. Instead there was a secret garden where you could grow additional berries. Only once you find the garden of course. Much much later into the game.

For a laptop. Is this decent?

    Vista Home Premium
    Core 2 Duo T5500
    1024MB RAM
    80GB HDD
    128MB shared graphics
    6-cell battery
    5-in-1 card reader
    WiFi
    DVD super multi.

    Only £500.

Idc about the 80gb hdd/128mb shared graphics.

1 GB RAM might be a little on the low side. Vista is resource heavy. And yeah... what the heck is that gfx card. Sounds fishy.

You'll want at least 2GB for Vista, although that's easy enough to upgrade. I do think you could get something better for £500 however.

How about this? Comes with XP and although you said you weren't bothered, it does come with a better hard-drive and GFX card.

At least two gigs? Damn, I thought one would need at least one gig.

I'll be wiping Vista as soon as I get it. And installing Windows XP Home SP2. Don't you worry.

    1GB is fine for me.

Well that's what people are saying if you want to get the most out of it. Remember how bad XP ran with anything less than 512mb?

I ran XP with 385MB SD-RAM 133MHz for over a year. It was fine.

I've ran XP with 256MB of DDR RAM.

    It's liveable.

And I don't need UBER graphics, cos it won't be for gaming.

Once XP is installed I'll reduce the onboard graphics to its lowest setting, to free up 100mb of RAM?
Downloading, music, uploading, browsing, films, school work?, chatting.
