Perfect Settings for Persona and other SMT/FES games

HI im new to the emulator stuff and I most got the emulator to play Persona and SMT/FES games, what i was wondering is if there is a way to make the games run faster on my laptop.. Right now I cannot watch the opening cutscence for Person 3, Its extremly choppy and slow compared to its usually hyped fast sound.
All the audio in the game is choppy voice acting and the walking around. I just want to be able to play these games. This is my laptop: (http://www.staples.com/Asus-X551MA-1...product_573082) new to this stuff so what i want to take away from this is knowing the best settings for the pcsx2 on my laptop (Audio Settings, Video Plugin settings)
