winx68k high speed? (ver. 0.95)
new forum member & im a little confused about this here emulator. (WinX68k high speed)
do you actually physically need a 5" floppy drive on your pc to run roms within winx68k HS, or can you burn an image file to a CD & boot it up from there? exactly how would I go about doing this?
there is no "open rom" or "load rom" within winx68k HS. I noticed there's basically 2 options: FDD0 & FDD1. (floppy disc drive 0 & floppy disc drive 1 - respectively?)
if CD is possible, im assuming any potential zipped roms (say in .hdf format, for example) need to somehow be converted OR burned to a cd as an image file (with an extension winx68k HS will recognize, within the drop down menu in windows) before one can actually run a rom, originally designed for the x68000 system?
not really finding a help file or tutorials for this thing either, which isn't helping. not even on youtube, in English anyway. (I realize the emulator was a jap. design, which was then converted to english)
all I could find were these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCeGkG2-mjs & http://emunavi.com/e/menu/howto/win68khs/win68k.htm
anyone with some experience with this emulator help me out? are there other emulators i could try? thanks in advance.
edit = im using windows 7. no idea if compatibility issues come into play in this instance or not, although it wouldn't shock me.
