Default Problems with Wipeout 3 SE

hello everyone, as the title suggest i have a problem running wipeout 3 special edition.

i have the ISO, but after choosing a track and a vehicle, it doesn't go past the loading screen.

i also got the ECM. i unzip it and get the .bin.ecm file. when i unecm it using pakkiso, i get a WipEout 3 - Special Edition (E) (Track 01) [SCES-02845] file, which is a bin file and when i mount it (mount ISO on ePSXe)i get the same problem as with the ISO, can't get past the loading screen
    i am using epsxe 1.6.0

sorry if i missed any other relevant info but this is all i could think of lol

thanks in advance for the help!
