It can get kind of laggy when the game is generating new areas of the map for the first time but aside from that it's usually good, although I run it on the lowest graphics setting to keep my fps up.

Oh my god, my friend bought MK9 the other day. So much fun. Story mode is awesome too. Trilogy was probably my favorite MK game too, but the new one is a close rival.

MK9 combines the best of both MK2 and MK3 worlds. It has the crazy technical juggle combos from 2 combined with swift button-mash combos from 3. There's some experimental JTAG-only DLC floating around there that enables some unfinished characters. Some complete with fatalities.
