You'll need whats called a flashcart to play downloaded games from this site on the 2DS. Basically you just stick your rom files onto a MicroSD card, stick that in a cartridge, then run it like you would any regular game, and it'll list all the downloaded games you stuck on the card. Your best bet to find one is to buy one online; unfortunately we aren't able to provide direct links to flashcart dealers though. They aren't all that hard to find, just searching "*name of cart* dealer" will probably get you where you need to look.
For about $20 you can get one called "R4i Gold 3DS", which will play almost all original DS roms; just make sure it specifically has "r4ids.cn" on the label to ensure it's not one of the many fake/low quality R4i carts floating around. Also with this one there are a few games you'll have to patch manually for them to work right, which isn't particularly hard once you know what you're doing.
The other option for regular DS games would be to get one called "Supercard DSTWO", which costs about $40. The benefits of using this one are that you're less likely to get a fake, it works out of the box with games you'd normally have to patch, and it can also do SNES games to an extent, as well as GBA I believe.
Keep in mind that neither of those will play newer 3DS games, only original DS games. There is a flashcart out there that can do 3DS games called Gateway 3DS, but last I heard it only works on very old 3DS firmware (around v4.2 I think?) and is also much more expensive. They're supposed to be working on an update for it so it will work with newer firmwares, no idea when that's actually going to be released though.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"
Thread title edited to something more relevant. Moved to Everything Console > Nintendo Systems, as it's not a broken link or site suggestion.![]()
I googled around a bit looking for news about the new Gateway update. It's still not out, and people need to stop updating their systems now if they plan to get the new Gateway. Firmware 9.3 was released to block the Cubic Ninja hack, and it interferes with the still unreleased Gateway update. There's a slim chance they'll tweak it to work around, but the update is only known to work on firmwares up to 9.2.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
Thanks for all the replys guys. I have a flashcart already. I have a M3DS REAL one, even though the 2DS reads it as a G6flash card. Does that make a difference? When I click on the icon I get this message.
"An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Operations Manual for details."
What am I doing wrong? Is there some kind of step by step tutorial that I can read or watch?
You need a more up to date flash kit, recommend a Supercard DSTwo for a quality card, cheaper cards like the R4 3DS Gold are not bad but a few games do require patching first (Not all of the R4 3DS Gold kits work on the newer 3DS/2DS firmware mind so be very careful if choosing one as there are tons of versions including fakes, that most of are blocked now anyway)
although the DSReal kit is great it has no support for 2DS or 3DS systems, it is aimed at DS and DS-Lite users and will not work on the 2DS or 3DS as Nintendo blocked it, also that kit does not support firmware updates to bypass such blocks only kernal updates the is just the gui software, that can't be used to bypass this kind of block that is a block on the hardware

Could you guys show me a pic of the flash cards you guys are recommending? I would like to send a pic to my parents who are in Hong Kong right now, so they can purchase one for me. I would like as little mistakes as possible, so they do not buy the wrong one or fake one. Thanks
Supercard DSTwo
R4 3DS Gold
and any other ones you might recommend.
