Totally new on MAME, which set i have to download?

Hi everyone, I'm confused about MAME Roms, so if I download the huge 0.151 MAME ROMS file it doesnt include the CHD? where I can find them?? is any set here in emuparadise with all I need in a single file to download?.

No there is no CHD pack, it would be huge though over 300 GB for the CHD's, that and most the games that use CHD's don't even work yet, so best just to pick out the few CHD's that do work

If you get yourself a GUI version of MAME though like MAMEUI it will mark none working games for you without having to launch the game to find out.

You can find various version of MameUI at http://www.progettosnaps.net/mameui_en I would stick to the version that your roms are made for i.e. version 0.151 otherwise some of the games will report either incorrect or missing roms because the games have been redumped or have had more chips dumped making older rom sets stop working

CHD's can be found on the main page, just select a rom you want the CHD for and on the download page for the rom there should be a link for the CHD
