How to play pokemon heart gold on xp pack 2?

i wan to play pokemon heart gold on my xp pack 2 i installed rom of pokemon heart gold and desmume emulator but when i started my game my cpu usage increased to 100% how can i play pokemon heart gold without increaseing cpu usage
this is my computer details

Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz
2.66 GHZ, 0.99 GB of ram

If you must emulate there is another DS emulator by the name of No$GBA

Believe it or not but DS emulation requires a reasonably high end PC, your graphics is possibly letting you down as well that you have not detailed, not to mention the older OS though your system spec doesn't require anything higher unless improvments from Direct X 11 are needed that XP does not support, I would also consider the ram as falling very short, cpu isn't too bad though to be honest even if it is a single core but you do need good graphics and a good amount of ram to back it up with

That's nothing to worry about. Anytime you run a program your cpu usage will be at 100% no matter how fast you computer is. (because you're using your cpu, see?)

The only time a program doesn't need 100% cpu is when it's idling, so if you pause the emulation it will not use much cpu. But as long as you're playing anything you'll use cpu. Your cpu can handle some load, don't be afraid.
