Most file types aren't exclusive to any particular program, which is in fact where file associations come into play. For example, while you would never try opening a text file in a media player, it's possible to associate the .txt format with say, VLC on your system, making it so that when you try to open any text files, it opens VLC instead. Try loading your files directly through the program you use to burn them, rather than through double-clicking (I assume this is where it tries opening them in VLC?).
To change the association, right click the file, and choose "Open with" instead of "Open". Then, pick the program you wish to use with that file type, and make sure the "Always use the selected program" checkbox near the bottom is checked.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock".
