I have only ever played with someone on EP once on 360

Played against Sword/Sheik in MW2 back in July, wiped the floor with him all 3 matches

I enjoy exclusive games on both consoles like Mass Effect for 360 and God of War for PS3 so I'm stuck as far as that goes. And also I was wondering if the newer (slim) editions of the consoles are any less likley RROD and YLOD. One more thing is I don't really plan on playing online at all so that part doesn't really sway me one way or another as well.
Mass Effect is no longer an exclusive title. You can get all three games on PS3.

My personal view: if you're worried about missing out on exclusives, unless there is one particular franchise that you desperately need to play (Halo, Gears of War, Fable), the PS3 is the way to go. It by far exceeds the quantity of worthwhile exclusive titles than the 360. You don't need to pay for online, which is great if you're on a budget and can only afford to get games here and there. If you're looking for getting the most games for the cheapest price, PS+ is a great deal and costs the same as Xbox Live. Also, the PS3 doubles as Blu Ray player -- always a bonus.

That being said, a 360 is cheaper right now. While both consoles have come down in price, PS3s are still a little bit more expensive. The online services on 360 are generally agreed to be better than PS3. As you've seen us discuss here, download and installation times on PS3 are atrocious -- what might take an hour to download/install on 360 would probably take 3 hours on a PS3, etc.

Ultimately, if you're not particularly interested in any exclusive franchise, and your friends that you might be playing games with don't all lean more towards one console -- for example, the reason I bought a PS3 was because my brother and the few guys from work that I would be playing games with all own PS3s. It didn't occur to me until later that my best friends from high school pretty much exclusively play on 360 -- then I would personally vote for PS3. Otherwise, just look at the games available to you, look at your funds, and go from there.

Ahh maybe I should actually read shit.

The RE1 I downloaded ages ago for the psp works on the PS3 though but I guess as you mentioned it depends on the game, but also that was just a psx to psp game anyways. FFT is almost done anyways so I'll try it out and see for that one, small download too.

Also less than 40gb left. A couple of full PS3 titles will max me out

We are a fickle bunch of gamers. I think I've only ever played three or four games with people from here. Part of it is getting everyone together, at the same time, playing the same game, and part of it is just general laziness.

Also most exclusives on 360 can be pirated bought for PC anyways if your system is halfway decent. So in my mind PS3 is the better choice for exclusive games.

When I still had my old HDD, I just downloaded a couple of titles, played them, and then deleted them. It's how I keep room for everything. I've got about 30 games between PSN and PS3 just sitting on my HDD right now, and it's probably close to half full (I have a 500GB).

If I had Known I was gonna get that money yesterday I would have waited and gotten the 500gb system that came with the year of ps+

Maybe I'll just grab a cheap external and copy back over all the movies I slapped on the ps3. Or say fuckit and get a 500gb for the ps3 and just get a case for the 160gb in it already and use that as a pc external

Can you imagine if the mortal kombats had debuted on the PS3? Live action character sprites.

Depending where you buy from, you should be able to find a 500GB for ~$75. Might have to shop around for a deal/order online, though. I think I bought mine for about $100 earlier this year.

    I know right!

I still have no idea why. Hell, RE5 Gold Edition is only 7.5.

    Hmph, call yourself fickle.

There was a time when I was playing with Tan and Rayvolt like multiple times a week for ever.

    That seems like ages ago. ;__;

In other news, I'm going to be singing the Soul Blade intro in my head for the rest of the night.

Yeah, because if you sung it out loud, all of our ears would bleed
