Yeah, I got three paychecks in September. Which was when i did a lot of buying as well. Should be fun though. I always love going on buying sprees. You going to pretty much concentrate on your NES collection? Or are you thinking of branching out at all?
I'm hoping by tax time I can buy the rest of what I need to finish off my Phantasy Star collection. Maybe before if I'm lucky. Then I was thinking about maybe finally finishing my CIB Odyssey 2 collection. I have almost 50% of the officially released games already(only 49 were released). Of course I still have three fairly rare games(Turtles, Atlantis, and Demon Attack) and one extremely rare game(Power Lords) to get. Those four games together are going to probably be over $400, with Power Lords itself commanding $250+. Thankfully those are pretty much the only really rare ones.
Then it's most likely back to adding to my NES collection probably.![]()
Mostly going to focus on NES. Might finish a couple of speciality collections, like grabbing the few Zelda games that I don't already own, and maybe grab a couple of SNES games (Mega Man X, SMW2, a few more mandatory to own titles like that). Might grab a good handful of PS3 games, though, including a few Collector's Editions (Bioshock Infinite at the very least
).
I want to get the majority of my NES collection out of the way (including acquiring a bunch of common titles) so that I can just focus on the rarer/harder to find games. Then I'll start focusing on something else, most likely N64. I have no real attachment to SNES or anything else.
Is it time to buy Secret Santa presents yet? I should have signed up on the last day, because it's just going to bug me until it's finished now.![]()
I'd start a collection, but I live in a 13-square meter room. (Group kitchen/bathroom facilities).
I'd be out of space before starting![]()
$60 actually isn't a terrible price for that. It's a little bit high for what I would want to pay, but not unreasonable. You could probably get one off eBay in the $45-$55 range on a lucky day.
NES and N64 were the two main (ie: only) systems I owned growing up. We had the NES until the N64 came out. They were the only two systems I ever rented games for, and thus was exposed to a wide range of games for the platform. About the only SNES games I ever played as a kid were Super Mario World and Mega Man X, so they're the only two I really give a shit about.I have many fond memories of the NES and N64. I've been buying Gamecube games as well mainly because Dallas likes playing them with me, and it has (in my opinion) two of the best Zelda games ever on for it.
Okay. Time to go to sleep now. Gotta head back to work tomorrow.
Night all.![]()
