What MAME emulator do you think is best?

I'm just wondering, what's your favorite MAME emulator in your opinion?

Well there is only one MAME emulator, do you mean MAME frontends?

The two best MAME frontends are MAME Plus and MAME PPK/Plus Plus Kailerra.

there are tons of MAME emulators

A front end would run alongside the official emulator (you would have 2 main exe files one for the front end and one the actual emulator) where as most of them are built from the official sources and are not front ends and only have a single exe file for MAME itself

Would of been better worded "gui for mame or gui version of mame"

A nice simple front end though is IV/Play from http://www.mameui.info/ you can add as much or as little as you like that screen shots ect ect

http://www.progettosnaps.net/ is a nice little place to grab all the snapshots ect you want, that is great for gui based versions of MAME
